Yinka Jegede-Ekpe (an haife shi a shekara ta alif dari tara da sabain da takwas 1978A.c) yar kasar Nijeriya ce mai yaki da kwayar cutar HIV/AIDS. Bayan an gano tana dauke da kwayar cutar kanjamau, ta zama mace ‘yar Najeriya ta farko da ta bayyana matsayin ta a bainar jama'a. Ta fuskanci wariya kuma ta kafa kungiyar Matan Najeriya masu dauke da cutar kanjamau don wayar da kan jama'a game da cutar kanjamau a Najeriya. A shekara ta 2006, ta haihu lafiyayyen ɗa mai cutar HIV.[1]

Lokacin da take 'yar shekara 19 kuma take zaune a garin Ilesa, Najeriya, Jegede-Ekpe ta damu da zafin da ke jikinta kuma ta yanke shawarar yin gwajin jini. Sannan ta gano cewa tana dauke da kwayar cutar kanjamau. Bayan gwajin jini ga saurayin nata (abokiyar zamanta kawai) ta dawo ba daidai ba, sai ta tuna da ziyarar wani likitan hakora da ke aiki a cikin yanayin rashin tsabta kuma ta ɗauka cewa ta sadu da gurɓataccen jini. A farkon shekaran 2000, Jegede-Ekpe ta yanke shawarar bayyana matsayin ta na dauke da kwayar cutar ta HIV a bainar jama'a, wanda a lokacin ya kasance hanyar da ake takaddama a kai. Itace 'yar Najeriya ta farko da ta fara yin hakan. Ta fuskanci wariya kuma abokai da abokan aikinta sun kaurace mata saboda tsoron HIV/AIDs : ƙungiyar mawaƙanta sun ƙi sake raira waƙa tare da ita; tana karatun aikin likita a Wesley Nursing School kuma gwamnati ta matsa mata ta daina. Jegede-Ekpe ta zama mai fafutuka na wayar da kan mutane game da cutar kanjamau a Najeriya kuma ta kafa kungiyar Matan Najeriya masu dauke da cutar kanjamau. Kungiyar tayi niyyar watsa labarai da kuma taimakawa a saurari muryoyin mata. Ta shirya kafa kudade domin taimakawa matan da ke cikin rikici da kuma ilimantar da marayu. Tayi sharhi daga baya cewa "lokacin da mutane kamar ni suka fito, sai ka ga fuskokin annobar a karon farko. Ba ni da gaskiya ko siffa. Kuma suna iya ganin cewa mutane kamar ni na iya rayuwa irin ta yau da kullum ”. Ya zuwa 2004, kusan kashi 6 cikin 100 na yawan jama'ar Nijeriya (7 miliyan miliyan) suna da HIV/AIDS kuma kashi 75 cikin 100 na duk 'yan Afirka masu ɗauke da kwayar cutar tsakanin shekaru 15 zuwa 24 mata ne. Jegede-Ekpe ta zama mai ba da shawara ga UNICEF kuma a cikin 2001 kungiyar ta taimaka mata wajen samun magungunan cutar kanjamau don lafiyarta bayan da wata kawarta ta kadu da rashin nauyi. Ta auri wani dan kamfen dinta wanda shima ke dauke da kwayar cutar HIV. A shekarar 2006, ta haihu da yarinya lafiyayye, wacce ta yi gwajin cutar HIV. A shekarar 2004, Jegede-Ekpe ta sami lambar yabo ta Reebok na Kare Hakkin Dan Adam saboda aikinta kan wayar da kan jama'a game da cutar kanjamau.
