Tāmihana Huata ( c. 1821 – 1908) sanannen malamin New Zealand ne kuma ɗan mishan. Na zuriyar Māori, ya danganta da Ngāti Mihi da Ngāti Kahungunu iwi (ƙabila). An haife shi a Frasertown, kusa da Wairoa, Hawke's Bay . [1]

A cikin shekarar 1844, an naɗa James Hamlin, na Church Missionary Society (CMS), a matsayin mai hidima kuma an aika shi zuwa Wairoa. Shugabannin gundumar Te Wai-roa, Pitiera Kopu da Paora Te Apatu, sun zaɓi Huata ya zama shugabansu a cikin bautar Kiristanci. Daga shekarar 1856 ya halarci makarantar Waerenga-a-hika a aikin CMS wanda Rev. William Williams ya kafa.[1] A ranar 22 ga Satumba 1861 Bishop Williams ya naɗa shi a matsayin mai hidima kuma an sanya shi a Diocese na Waiapu . Ya gudanar da karatun tauhidi a Kwalejin St. Stephen da ke Auckland . [2] A ranar 25 ga Satumba 1864, an naɗa shi firist. Ya yi aiki a matsayin mataimakin Rev. Huata ya yi tsayayya da ƙungiyar Pai Mārire (wanda aka fi sani da Hauhau) lokacin da masu wa'azi a ƙasashen waje suka kasance masu aiki a Gabashin Gabas a shekara ta 1865.
