Mutuncin Jiki: shi ne rashin tauye haƙƙin jiki kuma yana jaddada mahimmancin cin gashin kai, mallakar kai, da tabbatar da kai na ɗan Adam a kan jikinsu. A jamhuriyar Ireland, kotuna sun amince da mutuncin jiki a matsayin haƙƙin da ba a ƙididdige shi ba, wanda ke ba da kariya ta gabaɗayan garantin " haƙƙoƙin mutum " wanda ke cikin sashe na 40 na kundin tsarin mulkin Irish. A cikin Ryan v Attorney General an furta cewa "kana da ƴancin kada a tsoma baki a jikinka ko halinka. Wannan yana nufin cewa jihar ba za ta iya yin wani abu don cutar da rayuwar ku ko lafiyar ku ba. Idan kana tsare, kana da haƙƙin kada lafiyarka ta kasance cikin haɗari yayin da kake cikin kurkuku.” [6]

A cikin wata shari'ar ta daban M (Shige da Fice - Haƙƙin Haihuwa) -v- Ministan Shari'a da Daidaituwa & ors, Kotun Ƙoli ta Irish ta yanke hukuncin cewa haƙƙin mutuncin jiki ya ƙaru ga waɗanda ba a haifa ba. [7] A taƙaitaccen shari’ar a sashe na 5.19, kotun ƙolin ta ce:

...Haƙƙin ɗan da ba a haifa ba kamar yadda Kundin Tsarin Mulki ya tsaya a yanzu wanda ke jawo haƙƙin kariya da tabbatarwa shine wanda gyare-gyaren da aka yi a cikin Mataki na 40.3.3 ya ƙunsa, wato, 'yancin rayuwa ko, a wata ma'ana, haƙƙin haifuwa da haifuwa., yiyuwa, (kuma wannan lamari ne na yanke shawara a nan gaba) haƙƙoƙin ƙawance kamar haƙƙin ɗan adam wanda ke tattare da haƙƙin rayuwa da kansa.[8]
