Mawlana (Wanda kuma aka sani da The Preacher ) wani fim ne na shekarar 2016 na Masar wanda Magdy Ahmed Ali ya ba da Umarni, bisa wani littafi da ɗan jarida Ibrahim Eissa ya rubuta mai suna iri ɗaya da fim din. Fim ɗin ya biyo bayan tafiyar fitaccen mai wa'azin gidan talabijin na cibiyar Islama ta Al-Azhar mai dimbin tarihi a birnin Alkahira a yayin da yake ƙoƙarin daidaita akidun addininsa da fata da matsin lamba daga ƴan siyasa da hukumomin tsaro da kuma kalubalen yau da kullum. Fim ɗin ya yi nazari kan ƙaƙƙarfan dangantakar da ke tsakanin gwamnati, hukumomin addini, kafofin watsa labarai, da tsattsauran ra'ayin Islama a Masar.

Hatem, wani matashin shehi a masallacin gwamnati, ya sauya sheka daga jagorantar addu'o'i zuwa zama mashahuran mai gabatar da shiri a gidan talabijin na bayar da "fatawa" da ke jan hankalin miliyoyin jama'a saboda jajircewarsa da kuma kaucewa maganganun addini na gargajiya a cikin al'ummar da ke da tasiri mai karfi. Yayin da Hatem ke amsa tambayoyin masu kira a cikin shirinsa na TV, a bayan fage, ya shiga cikin gwagwarmayar iko da jini da ya yi ƙoƙarin gujewa. Mawlana ya samu nasara a fannin kudi a Masar, inda ya samu fam miliyan 7.3 na Masar ($388,300) a mako na uku. Mujallar Variety, ta bayyana fim ɗin a matsayin "mai sukar cin hanci da rashawa da tsattsauran ra'ayi," tana tsammanin zai kasance ɗaya daga cikin fina-finai na Masar da aka fi magana.

Mai Rahoto na Hollywood ya yaba wa shirin, saboda ƙarfin hali da kuma mayar da hankali kan sukar yadda siyasa ke sarrafa addini, da ɗaukar yanayin duhu na zamani tare da ƙwazo, jin daɗi, da barkwanci. "Mawlana" ya sami kyaututtuka da yawa, ciki har da Horus Awards uku a bikin ƙasa da ƙasa na Alkahira don Cinema na Masar (2018) don Mafi kyawun Jarumi (Amr Saad), Mafi kyawun wasan kwaikwayo (Magdy Ahmed Aly), da Mafi kyawun Tattaunawa (Ibrahim Issa). Fim ɗin ya kuma sami lambar yabo ta Interfaith Award for Feature Film a St. Louis International Film Festival (2017), Kyautar Masu Sauraro don Mafi kyawun Bayanan Labarai a Twin Cities Film Fest (2017), da Kyautar Circle don Mafi kyawun Fim a Washington DC Filmfest (2017).[1][2]

Fim din dai ya janyo suka daga malaman addinin Musulunci na Sunna, lamarin da ya sa wasu ke neman a hana ko dakatar da fim ɗin. Malaman Al-Azhar sun bayar da hujjar cewa fim ɗin ya lalata martabar cibiyoyin addinin Islama a daidai lokacin da ƙungiyar ke ƙoƙarin daƙile munanan ayyukan ta'addanci. Darakta Magdy Ahmed Ali ta mayar da martani inda ta ce, "Wannan shi ne lokacin da ya dace don yin fim. Sojoji suna yakar ta'addanci, tsattsauran ra'ayi na karuwa, kuma mutane suna ba da shawarar sake farfado da maganganun addini."[3][4][5]
