Kwame Asare, wanda aka fi sani da Jacob Sam (an haife shi a shekarar 1903 a Cape Coast ya mutu a shekara ta 1950), shi ne na farko da ya yi rikodin kiɗan mawaƙa na ƙasar Ghana kuma shi ne mawaƙin mawaƙa na farko a ghana.[1][2]

Shi ƙwararren maƙerin zinari ne. Ya koma Kumasi ya kafa 'Kumasi Trio'. Wani dan kasar Liberiya ne ya koya masa kada jita. Asalin shi ɗan ƙasar Ghana ne shine mutun na farko da ya yi rikodin din kiɗa na 'highlife' a Ghana wanda aka fi sani da "Yaa Amponsah". A cikin shekarar 1928, akan Zonophone a cikin jerin Kingsway Hall EZ na Landan , ya yi rikodin kide-kide na gargajiya tare da kaɗe-kaɗe da salon sautin yatsa. Ya kasance tare da 'Kumasi Trio', wanda ke nuna mawaƙa H.E. Binney and percussionist Kwah Kanta.[3]

A karkashin sunan "Kwanin" ya yi rikodin muryarsa akan jerin JZ. Rikodinsa a shekarar 1928 sun kasance cikin yarukan Fante. Ya jagoranci tushen wakan Afirka ta Tsakiya tare da gutsy, muryoyin baritone, da waƙoƙi cikin yaren Fante.
