Madrasa misali ne mai kyau na dimokuradiyya, kamar yadda aka zaɓi dukkan membobinta da shugabanninta. Cibiyar ce ta kyauta, ta jama'a kuma ba ta da laic. Shekaru, tana buga bita akai-akai don sauƙaƙe musayar Franco-Tunisiya.[1]

Khaldounia an kafa shi ne ta hanyar Young Tunisians karkashin jagorancin Bechir Sfar, wanda ke da nufin yada ilimin kimiyya a cikin al'adun Larabci. Ya sami goyon bayan René Millet, [2][3] babban mazaunin Faransa a Tunisiya wanda ke da alhakin rubuta matsayin madrasa wanda ya keɓance tattaunawar siyasa da addini kuma ya jaddada mahimmancin tunani (Critical thinking).
