Kagendo Murungi (7 Disamba 1971 - 27 Disamba 2017) yar kare hakkin mata ce a Kenya, mai fafutukar kare hakkin LGBT kuma mai shirya fina-finai. Ta yi aiki a matsayin mai ba da shawara ga 'yancin al'ummar LGBTQ na Afirka sama da shekaru 20.[1]

An haifi Kagendo a Kenya kuma tana da ’yan’uwa shida.[2] Ta koma kasar Amurka inda ta shafe tsawon rayuwarta.

Kagendo ta samu digirin ta na BA a fannin nazarin mata daga Jami’ar Rutgers kuma ta ci gaba da karatun MA a fannin yada labarai daga makarantar New School for Social Research. Ta ci gaba da sana’arta na harkar fim a matsayin darakta kuma mai shirya fina-finai. Ta kafa ɗakin shirya fina-finai na Wapinduzi Productions a shekarar 1991 kuma ta yi aiki a matsayin babban mai shirya fina-finai na kusan shekaru 26. Ta ba da labarin fim ɗin 1995 na Amurka These Girls Are Missing.

Ta taka rawar gani wajen samar da matsayin jami'ar shirin Afirka a Hukumar Kare Hakkokin Bil'adama ta 'Yan Luwadi da Madigo ta Duniya. Ta kuma yi aikin sa kai a wajen bikin fina-finan Afirka na tsawon shekaru 15.[3] Ta kuma rike matsayin Program Associate tare da National Black Programming Consortium lokacin da ta kasance mai jagorantar al'umma. A cikin shekara ta 2016, ta yi aiki a matsayin darekta na Kayan Abinci a Cocin St. Mary, Harlem.[3]

A watan Agustan 2021, an sanya ta cikin jerin ta a matsayin ɗaya daga cikin mata bakwai da sukayi fafutuka a Afirka waɗanda suka cancanci labari a Wikipedia ta Global Citizen, ƙungiyar ƙasa da ƙasa da ƙungiyar bayar da shawarwari.[4]

Ta mutu a ranar 27 ga Disamba 2017 tana da shekaru 46 a gidanta a Harlem. An binne ta a gonar danginsu na kasar Kenya.[5]
