An haifi Grace Ukala a Mbiri a ranar 19 ga Afrilu 1946. Ita ce 'yar Godwin da Beatrice Ukala. Ta sami digiri na biyu a Jami'ar Ibadan, MED a Jami'ar Benin da MPh daga Jami'ar Legas Ta kasance shugabar gidauniyar Kwalejin Emotan, Benin City (1980 zuwa 1990), inda ta samu matsayi na kwarai., 1986.[1] Ta kuma kasance shugabar sashen turanci a makarantar Geoffrey Chaucer dake Landan daga 1990 zuwa 1995, shugabar tsangayar sadarwa a makarantar Eastlea Community School da ke Landan daga 1996 zuwa 2000 sannan kuma mai kula da sashin tallafin karatu a makarantar Bow Boys dake Landan daga 2000 zuwa 2002.[2][3][4]

Ita ce marubuciyar littafin nan mai suna Dizzy Angel, wadda ta samu lambar yabo ta adabi a shekarar 1985 don kyakkyawar magance al'amuran gargajiya a Najeriya irin su camfi da mawuyacin yanayi da ke fuskantar yara mata. Sauran ayyukan Ukala sun haɗa da The Broken Bond (UPL, 2001) da Ada a London, Tsira da Traumas (Outskirts Press, 2005).

Daga 1999 zuwa 2001, ta kasance shugabar kasa kuma wacce ta kafa Cibiyar Ilimin Ƙungiyoyin Ƙungiyoyin Ƙabilu da Ƙwararrun Ƙwararrun Al'adu. A cikin 2002, ta zama shugabar gudanarwa a Goldsparkle Consulting Services.
