Dodoma a hukumance Birnin Dodoma, shine babban birnin kasar Tanzaniya ne[1] kuma babban birnin yankin Dodoma, mai yawan jama'a da suka kai 410,956. Ana zaune a tsakiyar ƙasar, garin yana da murabba in kilomita 453 kilometres (281 mi) daga yamma da tsohon babban birnin kasar a Dar es Salaam da kuma nisan kilomita 441 kilometres (274 mi) a kudu da Arusha, hedkwatar Al'ummar Gabashin Afirka . Yana da 259 kilometres (161 mi) arewa da Iringa ta hanyar Mtera. Hakanan yana da 260 kilometres (160 mi) yamma da Morogoro. Ya mamaye fili mai fadin 2,669 square kilometres (1,031 sq mi) wanda ke da 625 square kilometres (241 sq mi) birni ne.
