Richard Taylor (mai wa'azi a ƙasashen waje)

 

Richard Taylor FGS (21 Maris 1805 – 10 Oktoba 1873) [1] ɗan mishan ne na Coci (CMS) a New Zealand . An haife shi a ranar 21 ga Maris 1805 a Letwell, Yorkshire, Ingila, ɗaya daga cikin 'ya'ya hudu na Richard Taylor da matarsa, Catherine Spencer. [1]

Ya halarci Kwalejin Queens, Cambridge kuma BA kammala karatun BA a 1828, an naɗa shi firist a ranar 8 ga Nuwamba 1829. [1] A cikin 1835, an ba shi MA kuma an nada shi mai wa'azi a ƙasashen waje a New Zealand don CMS.[1][1]

Ya kasance a lokacin sanya hannu kan Yarjejeniyar Waitangi a ranar 6 ga Fabrairu 1840. A shekara ta 1849 ya koma Whanganui ta hanyar Taupō daga taron mishaneri na CMS a Tauranga . [6] Tafiye-tafiyen mishan ya haɗa da tafiya zuwa Kogin Whanganui zuwa ƙauyuka kamar Pipiriki da kuma Lake Rotoaira a gindin Dutsen Tongariro . [7][8][9] Ya ba da sunan ƙauyuka a gefen Kogin Whanganui Ātene (Athens), Koriniti (Corinth), Hiruhārama (Jerusalem) da Rānana (London) kuma an sanya masa sunan unguwar Wanganui ta Taylorville.[10][11]

Bayan mutuwarsa a ranar 19 ga Oktoba 1873, ɗansa, Revd Basil Kirke Taylor, ya karɓi aikin Whanganui.[12]
