Nana Miriam mace ce ta almara a cikin tatsuniyoyi na masu farautar kogin Sorko,masu alaƙa da mutanen Zarma kuma an san su da kasancewa cikin mutanen farko da suka fara zama a bakin kogin a yankin Gao a cikin daular Songhai.Babban labarin da ke da Kuma alaƙa da Nana Maryamu shi ne yadda ta yi amfani da hikimarta da kuma sihiri don kayar da wata katuwar hippopotamus da ke barazana ga mazauna kogin.
