Nōpera Panakareao
Nōpera Panakareao (? - 13 Afrilun shekarar 1856) ya kasance shugaban kabilar New Zealand, mai bishara kuma mai ba da shawara. Daga zuriyar Māori, ya kasance tare da Te Rarawa iwi .

Nōpera ya zauna a Kaitaia . Ya zama abokin William Gilbert Puckey, ɗan William Puckey. [1] Ya yi aiki tare da Joseph Matthews don kafa tashar mishan na Church Missionary Society a Kaitaia a shekarar 1833. Masu wa'azi a ƙasashen waje sun kira shi Noble Pana-kareao, waɗanda suka ɗauke shi da daraja sosai.[2][3]
Nōpera ya sanya hannu kan Yarjejeniyar Waitangi . Ya bayyana fahimtar Yarjejeniyar kamar haka, "Ko te atarau o te i whenua i a te kuini, ko te te = o te whenua i__hau____hau____hau__ Māori", ma'ana; "Irin ƙasar zai tafi Sarauniya [na Ingila], amma abin ƙasar zai kasance tare da mu". Nōpera daga baya ya sauya bayanin da ya yi a baya - yana jin cewa ainihin ƙasar ya tafi ga Sarauniya; inuwa ce kawai ta kasance ga Māori.[4] Matarsa Ereonora ita ma ta sanya hannu kan yarjejeniyar kusa da sunansa.[5]
A cikin shekarar 1842, rikici ya tashi game da ƙasa a Oruru da Manganui, mallakar Panakareao ta hanyar haƙƙin gado daga Poroa. Wasu daga cikin danginsa masu nisa - mahaifin Pororua, da sauransu - ba su da ƙasar da za su zauna, Poroa ya ba su izinin zama a Oruru.
