Mataaho (wanda aka fi sani da Mataaoho [1] da Mataoho [2]) allahn Māori ne. An yi la'akari da shi a matsayin allahn girgizar ƙasa da fashewa, mai kula da asirin duniya, allahn dakarun dutsen wuta, ko kuma babba, [3] Mataaho yana da alaƙa da yawancin fasalulluka na dutsen wuta a Yankin Tāmaki Makaurau (Yankin Auckland).[4][5] A cikin tatsuniyoyin gargajiya na Tāmaki Māori, Mataaho ko dai ya ƙirƙiro siffofin dutsen wuta na wuri mai faɗi, ko kuma ya nemi alloli su halicce su. Mataaho yana da muhimmancin gargajiya ga Te Kawerau ā Maki da Waiohua iwi, [1] kuma an dauke shi tupuna (kakannin) na Te Ākitai Waiohua.[6]

Labaran Mataaho suna da alaƙa da yawancin siffofin filin dutsen mai fitattun wuta na Auckland.[3][1] Abubuwan sun kasance halittar Mataaho da ɗan'uwansa Rūaumoko (allahn girgizar ƙasa da tsaunuka masu fitattun wuta), wanda aka yi a matsayin horo ga wata kabila ta patupaiarehe, halittu masu ban mamaki da ke zaune a cikin Waitākere Ranges, waɗanda suka yi amfani da sihiri mai kisa daga ƙasa don kayar da ƙungiyar yaƙi ta patupai Pah daga Hunua Ranges.[7][5] Tāmaki Māori ne suka gudanar da bukukuwan a cikin rami na Maungawhau / Dutsen Eden, don kwantar da hankalin Mataaho kuma ya hana shi sakin dakarun dutsen wuta.[8] An san kogon da suna Te Ipu a Mataaho ko Te Kapua Kai o Mataaho ("The Food Bowl of Mataoho"). Bayan matarsa ta bar shi kuma ta ɗauki dukkan tufafinsa, allahiyar wuta Mahuika ta aika da wuta zuwa ƙasa don dumi Mataaho, wanda ya kafa Ngā Huinga-a-Mataaho ("tashin dutsen wuta na Mataaho"). Mataaho yana da alaƙa da wasu tatsuniyoyi da ke kewaye da halittar Rangitoto. A cikin labarin Ngāi Tai na Te Riri a Mataaho (Fushi na Mataaho), Tupua biyu (ya'yan Allah na Wuta), Ohomatakamokamo da matarsa Matakerepo, sun zauna a Te Rua Maunga, dutse da ke Lake Pupuke . [5][11] Ma'auratan sun yi jayayya game da wasu tufafin flax da Matakerepo ta yi wa mijinta, jayayya da ta zama mai zafi sosai har wuta a waje da gidansu ta mutu. Ohomatakamokamo ya la'anta Mahuika, allahiyar wuta, don barin wannan ya faru. Mahuika ya yi fushi da ma'auratan, kuma ya nemi Mataaho ya azabtar da su. Mataaho ya lalata gidan su na dutse, kuma a madadinsa ya bar Pupuke Moana (Lake Pupuke), yayin da a lokaci guda ya kafa dutsen Rangitoto.
