English: Jadav Payeng, an incredible personality and an environment activist. He upgrade a chapori of the river Brahmaputra to a reserve forest. Name of the forest is Mulai Reserve (Mulai is his nick name), near Kokilamukh of Jorhat. Total area of the forest is about 1000 hectre. He starts his journey in 1979. Now, there are five tiger, three rhino, reptiles, birds and other animals. There are thousands of trees- simolu, veleu, urium, azar, teak, mos etc. Now his aim is to spread his Mulai Forest to Bongoan of Majuli. অসমীয়া: যাদৱ পায়েং এগৰাকী পৰিবেশ কৰ্মী। 'মুলাই' তেখেতৰ উপনাম। তেখেতে অসমৰ যোৰহাট জিলাৰ কলিলামুখৰ ওচৰৰ ব্ৰহ্মপুত্ৰৰ ঔনামুখ চাপৰিৰ এক বৃহৎ এলেকাত গছপুলি ৰোপণ কৰি এখন অৰণ্যলৈ ৰূপান্তৰ কৰিছিল। এই ৫৫০ হেক্টৰ অঞ্চল জুৰি থকা এই অৰণ্যখন যাদৱ পায়েঙৰ সন্মানাৰ্থে 'মুলাই কাঠনি' নামেৰে নামকৰণ কৰা হৈছে। |
