This diagram image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.
It is recommended to name the SVG file “Front occlus trowal en.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.

English: Occlusion where the cold air catch up to the warm front in the cross-section shown by A-B. There is two types : In a cold occlusion, the air mass overtaking the warm front is cooler than the cool air ahead of the warm front, and plows under both air masses. In a warm occlusion, the air mass overtaking the warm front is not as cool as the cold air ahead of the warm front, and rides over the colder air mass while lifting the warm air.
This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. The original can be viewed here: Front occlus trowal.png: .
