Dogon Haske na Legas tsarin sufuri ne cikin gaggawa a jihar Legas. Hukumar Kula da Sufuri ta Babban Birnin Legas (LAMATA) ce ke tafiyar da tsarin jirgin.[1] Kamfanoni masu zaman kansu ne za su samar da kayan aikin layin dogo da suka haɗa da wutar lantarki, sigina, kayan jujjuyawa, da na'urorin tattara fasinja a ƙarƙashin kwangilar rangwame. LAMATA tana da alhakin jagorar manufofi, tsari, da abubuwan more rayuwa don hanyar sadarwa. Tun a shekarar 2011 ne aka shirya kammala sashe na farko na hanyar sadarwa mai suna Phase I na Blue Line, duk da cewa ginin ya samu tsaiko da yawa sakamakon karancin kudi da sauyin gwamnati. Layin Blue ya buɗe a ranar 4 ga Satumba, 2023 kuma Red Line ya buɗe a ranar 29 ga Fabrairu, 2024.[2][3][4]

2008: An samar da metro don Legas, tare da kammala kwanan watan 2011.

2009: An fara aikin gina gine-ginen layin dogo na Blue Line, wanda aka ba wa China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) a matsayin ƙira da kwangilar ginawa.[5]

2016: Mataki na I (Layin Blue daga Marina zuwa Mile 2) ya shirya buɗewa a cikin Disamba 2016.

2018: Bayan nazarin Alstom na aikin, Mataki na I (Layin Blue daga Marina zuwa Mile 2) yanzu an saita don buɗewa a cikin 2021.

2021: Kamfanin CCECC ya fara gini akan Layin Layin.[6]

Janairu 2022: LAMATA ya sayi jiragen kasa na Talgo VIII guda biyu.

A ranar 24 ga Janairu, 2023, shugaban kasa Muhammadu Buhari ya kaddamar da aikin layin dogo na layin dogo na Legas kashi na farko.[7]

A ranar 4 ga Satumba, 2023, Gwamna Babajide Sanwo-Olu ya bude hanyar zirga-zirgar jiragen kasa ta Blue Rail don amfanin jama'a a hukumance.[8]

A farkon shekarar 2024, an sanar da cewa, layin dogo na birnin Legas ya yi jigilar fasinjoji 583,000 a cikin watanni hudu na farko. Wannan zai sa ya zama mafi girma a cikin birni mai samar da sabis na dogo a Afirka.[9][10]

A ranar 14 ga Fabrairu, 2024, Gwamna Sanwo-Olu ya sanar da cewa za a kaddamar da jan layi tsakanin Agbado da Oyingbo a ranar 29 ga Fabrairu 2024 a gaban shugaban Najeriya Tinubu.[11]

A ranar 15 ga Oktoba, 2024, sashin farko na Red Line yana buɗe wa jama'a.[12]

Tunanin samar da hanyar tafiya cikin gaggawa a jihar Legas ya samo asali ne tun a shekarar 1983 tare da tsarin layin dogo na Legas wanda Alhaji Lateef Jakande ya kirkira a lokacin jamhuriyar Najeriya ta biyu.[13][14][15][16] A shekarar 1985 Muhammadu Buhari ya yi watsi da aikin layin dogo na farko, inda aka yi asarar sama da dala miliyan 78 ga masu biyan harajin jihar.[17] A shekarar 2003, Gwamna Bola Tinubu na wancan lokaci ya sake farfado da layin dogo na jihar Legas tare da sanar da gina shi a hukumance.[18] An fara kashe dala miliyan 135 don babban aikin sufuri na biranen Legas wanda sabuwar kungiyar LAMATA za ta aiwatar.[19] LAMATA da farko ta mayar da hankali ne wajen samar da tsarin zirga-zirgar gaggawa na Bus, wanda ke tashi daga Mile 2 zuwa tsibirin Legas. A cikin 2008, LAMATA ta fara mai da hankali kan layin Blue da Red Line.
