[1] Yana aiki a matsayin mafi girman nau'in adabin mata, kuma an karkasa shi zuwa hoyal, hoobeeyo da sitaat (waƙar addini).
Buraanbur a al'adance ta kasance wata muhimmiyar hanya mai ƙarfi da mata ke amfani da ita a duk faɗin ƙasar Somaliya don raba tunaninsu, gogewa da buri. Irin wa] annan wa}o}in galibi sun ta'allaka ne kan batutuwan da suka shafi mata, ciki har da tarbiyyar yara da dangantakar aure. [2] Har ila yau, waqoqin na iya yin tsokaci kan al’amuran zamantakewa da siyasa gaba xaya, kuma a wasu lokutan ana raka su da ganguna, tafawa, da raye-raye. [3]
Buraanbur ya kasance a al'adance muhimmin bangare na al'adun gida a Babbar Somaliya. A tarihi, an yi amfani da sigar ayar a lokacin yunƙurin yancin kai. A haka Jibril ya bayyana dalilin da ya sa mata suka shiga gwagwarmayar ‘yan mulkin mallaka:

- Mun so mu sami alhakin,
- Don bayyana ra'ayoyinmu da ra'ayoyinmu,
- Mun so mu nuna damuwarmu ga kasarmu [4]
