Jirgin saman Nigeria Airways Flight 825 yana kan hanyarsa daga Landan zuwa Legas tare da matsakaita a Rome da Kano . Tare da ƙasan karkashinta da kuma murfin ɓangarenta an faɗaɗa, VC-10 ya kuma buge bishiyoyi 13 kilometres (8.1 mi; 7.0 nmi) gajere daga titin jirgin sama 19. Jirgin ya fado kasa, wani yanki na daji mai kauri kuma ya fashe. [1]


Dukkan fasinjoji guda 76 da ma’aikatan jirgin guda 11 sun mutu. Jirgin 825 shine farkon haɗarin haɗari da ya shafi Vickers VC-10 da haɗari mafi haɗari.[2][3]

Kai tsaye bayan faduwar jirgin an gano makamai masu sarrafa kansu guda uku a cikin tarkacen jirgin.[4] Don magance jita-jitar cewa fada tsakanin fursunoni da masu gadi biyu ne ya haifar da hatsarin, an nemi masanin harkar kwalliya. An samu labarin cewa babu daya daga cikin makaman da aka kora kwanan nan.

Ba za a iya tantance musabbabin faduwar jirgin da tabbaci ba, rakodi na jirgin ba ya aiki a lokacin da hadarin ya faru, amma hakan na iya faruwa ne saboda ma'aikatan jirgin ba su san ainihin tsayin jirgin ba a lokacin da ya kusan zuwa da barin jirgin sama ya sauka kasa da aminci yayin da baya cikin ma'amala tare da ƙasa.
